How do artists sell art without a gallery?

Artists list their Pieces, request a Showing at a local Space (or accept an invitation), and display their work there. Visitors buy in person by scanning a QR code. There are no applications, no waitlists, and no 40–60% gallery commissions — Artists keep their asking price and choose the Space's commission rate that works for them.

How much does Galree cost?

Galree is free to join for Artists and Spaces. Galree takes an 8% fee on each Piece sold. Optional paid plans (Artist from $6/mo, Space from $9/mo) add higher limits and analytics. Visitors are always free.

What is a Showing?

A Showing is a timed art exhibition hosted at a Space, linking one or more Artists to that location for a set period. Visitors discover Showings on the Galree map.

How do visitors buy art?

Accepted Answer

Visitors scan the QR code displayed at a Showing, browse the Pieces with prices, and check out in the app. They receive a confirmation code to take the Piece home or schedule a pickup.
